Your First Step with Grieving Hearts: Finding Comfort Together

Walking into your first Grieving Hearts meeting can feel daunting, but you are not alone. Every Saturday morning, our peer-to-peer support group gathers at Marton Cricket Club to offer a safe, welcoming space for anyone navigating loss.

We understand that taking this step is often the hardest part. That’s why we make it easier by offering:

  • Warm welcomes from people who understand grief first-hand.
  • Gentle introductions so you can settle in at your own pace.
  • Quiet spaces if you need time to reflect before joining in.
  • Supportive conversations guided by compassion, not pressure.
  • Practical resources to help you cope day-to-day.
  • Tea, coffee, and a friendly atmosphere to remind you that comfort can be found in small moments.
  • One-to-one reassurance — if you’d prefer, we can arrange a phone call or private meeting before you attend on Saturday, so you feel supported from the very beginning.

At Grieving Hearts, there is no expectation to share before you’re ready. You can simply listen, connect, and take things one step at a time. Together, we build resilience, understanding, and hope.
